Situation

The client’s customer had completed a large acquisition and needed to bring the acquired company’s IT infrastructure up to date.

Solution

InTech was asked to assess and upgrade one site, which was quickly expanded to include all of the company’s sites in China, Taiwan and Singapore. With InTech’s global network of in-country affiliates, this solution is fully scalable, from one site to hundreds.
InTech’s “one-stop” solution included the following:

• Surveyed each site
• Cleaned up the IT rooms and brought them up to code
• Procured replacement racks, hardware and HVAC
• Transitioned and installed new equipment
• Provided internal cabling within rooms and for end users
• Tested new equipment
• Provided after-installation support.

Results

The merged company’s IT infrastructure was quickly brought into line with the acquiring company's requirements, a speedy resolution to an important component of the integration that allowed the company to begin realizing expected efficiencies.
